I am a member of staff at a school, college or a centre

I want to change my centre contact details, or staff details

Please email the National Centre Number (NCN) Register ncn@ocr.org.uk if you want to change any contact details for your centre.

I want to register as an exam centre

Centre approval is managed by awarding organisations. Centres wishing to offer qualifications should apply directly to each awarding organisation whose qualifications they intend to deliver.

Each awarding organisation operates its own centre approval process. Details of the process, including fees, timescales and any specific requirements, are available from the relevant awarding organisation.

Please contact the awarding organisation you are seeking approval with for further guidance.

I have a query on centre inspections

JCQ is unable to make decisions on, or comment on, individual cases, examination arrangements, access arrangements or candidate-specific circumstances. We are therefore not able to respond to emails requesting this type of guidance. 

Centres are responsible for making decisions about access arrangements, and also examination arrangements and candidate support, in line with JCQ regulations and the requirements of the relevant awarding organisation. 

When considering access arrangements, the SENCo must use their professional judgement to assess the student’s needs and the suitability of any arrangements, supported by the required evidence. Where appropriate, the SENCo should also involve members of the centre’s Senior Leadership Team (SLT) in the decision-making process. 

JCQ regulations and supporting resources, including infographics, guidance and frequently asked questions, are available on the JCQ website. 

To protect student data, centres must not email JCQ Centre Support with personal information about students or details of their examinations, assessments or access arrangements.

I am a parent / student

JCQ does not deal with individual student or parent queries regarding exam arrangement, special consideration or access arrangements.

I have a complaint about a school or college.

JCQ does not deal with individual complaints from students or parents.

Please send your complaint directly to the senior leadership team within your school or college.

I need a replacement certificate for my past results (GCSEs, A levels or other).

JCQ does not hold exam results for individual students.

Please speak to your school or college who may be able to help.
