When you send and receive EDI (electronic data interchange) files, you currently use an application called the ‘A2C Migration App’.

This application is being updated and renamed the ‘A2C Transport App’. The update will be available from Monday 4 October 2021.

Centres are strongly encouraged to download the updated application to make sure their systems match improved technology and security standards.

Please read on for more details, including where you can find relevant support.

Why is it being updated?

Over time IT technology and security continue to evolve and improve, and the A2C Migration App therefore needs to be upgraded to keep in line with newer programming and security protocols. Using the upgraded A2C Migration App ensures its compatibility with Windows 10.

Please refer to the A2C FAQ page for more information

Who needs to do the update?

All centres currently using the A2C Migration App need to download the new A2C Transport App, and are strongly advised to complete this update before the old version becomes incompatible.

If you don’t use the A2C Migration App and use an integrated transport solution provided by your management information system (MIS), you do not need to do anything. Centres in Northern Ireland should not download the Migration App, and can continue using their existing version.

When does it need to be done by?

You should download the new A2C Transport App as soon as it’s available on 4 October 2021. We recommend you do this as soon as you can, but you need to do it this academic year. Please give yourself enough time to do the update, bearing in mind any entries or results deadlines.

How do we get the update?

From 4 October, please go to the A2C website (https://a2c.avcosystems.com/Download) and follow the on-screen instructions.

Where can I get support?
