Who we are

The board is made up of senior leaders from each of the awarding organisation members, who bring expertise, insight and collaborative leadership to support the work of JCQ.  

Together, the board works to a shared purpose – ensuring the UK’s qualifications system remains robust, equitable and fit for the future.  

JCQ is a membership organisation, funded by our members. We represent leading awarding organisations offering qualifications in the UK.  These qualifications include GCSEs, A levels, as well as vocational and technical qualifications. 

As a Community Interest Company ^CIC, we are funded by our members. 

In 2025, we launched our Associate Membership scheme to broaden our collaboration with awarding organisations of all sizes, build stronger links, and support greater consistency in assessment arrangements across the UK.
