The policy position from DfE is that assessments will go ahead this year. On behalf of the JCQ Awarding Organisations, this document is provided to centres to support them when managing absences for assessments affected by Covid-19.
Adaptations
Many Awarding Organisations have put in place adaptations and support to mitigate the impact of lost teaching and learning. Please refer to the relevant Awarding Organisation for more information.
Competency-based assessments cannot usually be adapted, especially when they confer a licence to practice.
Special Considerations
Special Considerations may apply in certain situations, in line with guidance provided by the relevant Awarding Organisation. Minimum requirements may need to be met.
