JCQ Response to Ofqual’s Review of Exam Setting Process

JCQ and its members believe that working teachers have a critical role in setting exams. Teachers on-the-ground knowledge of how a qualification is taught helps ensure assessment is fair and accurate. We’re looking forward to contributing to Ofqual’s review. The vast majority of teachers are highly trustworthy, the whole education system relies upon their integrity, and examination malpractice is exceptionally rare. All JCQ members have stringent measures in place to prevent and to detect malpractice.
