We are delighted to announce the publication of JCQ's first Strategic Plan 2025–2030, marking a significant milestone in our organisation's 27-year history.

This strategy sets out our commitment to supporting the UK’s qualifications system through five key themes: simplifying assessment administration, enhancing support for vocational and technical qualifications, building strategic alliances, engaging our membership community, and driving operational excellence.

A New Chapter with Associate Membership

A key development is our introduction of associate membership, which will broaden collaborative opportunities while maintaining our commitment to reducing bureaucracy and improving consistency for schools, colleges and other educational establishments across the UK.

Our new strategy opens doors for associate membership, giving more awarding organisations access to JCQ’s expertise and sector-leading guidance. Associate members will strengthen their reputation through our trusted network while contributing fresh perspectives that enhance our services for all education providers. This collaborative approach drives forward our mission to reduce bureaucracy and deliver consistent support across the UK’s qualifications system.

Margaret Farragher
Chief Executive, JCQ

This strategy reflects extensive consultation with our members and stakeholders, ensuring it addresses the real challenges and opportunities facing the education sector today and in the years ahead.
