Exam timetables:

The exam boards have now published their timetables for the summer 2022 examination series. These include GCSE, GCE AS and A-level examinations.

 

These can found on their individual websites as follows:

 

AQA (A-level, AS, Level 3 certificates, Functional Skills, and Applied General) (GCSE, AQA Certificate, ELC, FCSE, Projects and L1/L2 Awards)

 

CCEA (AS and A-level) (GCSE)

 

WJEC and Eduqas (AS and A-level) (GCSE) (Vocational and Other General Qualifications)

 

OCR (All key dates and timetables)

 

Pearson (Pearson Edexcel AS and A-level) (Pearson Edexcel GCSE)

Key dates:

The JCQ Key dates in the examination cycle document is now available. These are key dates for the main examination series of GCSE, GCE and Project qualifications which are common to all the JCQ exam boards.

 

These include dates for access arrangements, entries, submitting centre assessed marks, release of results and final dates for post-result services. Centre staff with teaching and administrative responsibilities will need to be aware of these dates.

Becoming an examiner:

Following the government's announcement of an intended return to examinations this summer, teachers can join the other teachers who help students receive recognition for their learning, and also enable them to progress to the next stage of their development.

 

Becoming an examiner with an exam board will provide teachers a better understanding of a subject's specification and how the examination system works.

 

They will also enhance their personal professional development and receive payment for what they do.
