Autumn 2020 past papers
The GCSE, AS and A Level past papers from the exceptional Autumn 2020 exam series will be published on all exam boards’ websites on the same date - 18th January 2022.
This decision was taken after discussions with DfE and Ofqual and in light of their policy position that exams will take place this summer. The objective is to support all students including private candidates, such as home educated students, and those re-taking qualifications after leaving school or college. The exam boards have worked together to ensure consistency for teachers and students this summer.
Exam boards’ past papers from the Autumn 2021 exam series continue to be available to teachers only at this time, in line with usual practices.
Autumn 2021 A Level results
After A and AS Level results from the Autumn 2021 series were released to students this morning, JCQ has published the summary results – please see Examination results - JCQ Joint Council for Qualifications.
The autumn 2021 series is a continuation of the summer series. Exam boards were asked to seek alignment with summer 2021 (the level of attainment that would generally be required to achieve the outcomes observed in summer 2021) as far as possible to ensure fairness to learners. However, because of differences in the cohorts, the actual cumulative percentage outcomes at each grade will likely differ relative to those in summer 2021 and should not be compared with any other exam series.
Private Candidates
JCQ has prepared some frequently asked questions (FAQs) in order to support private candidates (see Summer 2022 Arrangements - JCQ Joint Council for Qualifications). We are also updating the database of centres willing to accept private candidates, which will be live from the morning of Friday 17th December. The searchable database can be accessed at Private Candidates - JCQ Joint Council for Qualifications.
