Advance Information
JCQ has published a guide for students and updated FAQs on advance information. Advance information is one part of a package of measures introduced by Government to support students whose learning has been impacted by the Coronavirus pandemic and is intended to help guide and prioritise revision.
JCQ has provided links to guidance on advance information from JCQ member awarding bodies on a dedicated landing page. You can find relevant guidance from JCQ and Ofqual, including FAQs for students and exam centres, and the student guide on the JCQ Advance Information landing page.

Become an Examiner for 2022
Now is a great time to make sure teachers reserve their place with exam boards to examine this summer. The last couple of years have been a tough time for young people and schools and colleges have helped them to get through it. Examiners are part of a team that ensures students receive the results they deserve and teachers who support this work stand to benefit from the experience as well. Examining provides:
- an opportunity to further develop your knowledge of the specification and the assessment process
- insights into how students respond to examination questions
- a chance to network with other teachers and experienced professionals
You’ll also earn some extra income for approximately three weeks of work.
Further information about the role of examining can be found on the JCQ Become an Examiner website. For specific information about the required roles and criteria to examine for each examination board, refer directly to their dedicated webpages - these can be accessed via the quick links on the JCQ Become an Examiner website.
Please pass this information on to teachers in your centre and encourage them to apply today.
