End of exams and results key dates

 

The JCQ and all member exam boards want to say a big thank you for all your commitment and hard work throughout the summer 2022 exam series. Your continued dedication throughout the year, has ensured that summer 2022 exams can take place for the first time since 2019. 

 

Key dates: 

 

Summer 2022 results will be released to candidates on the following dates: 

  • A level: 18 August 
  • GCSE: 25 August 

Please refer to our Release of results: June 2022 examinations guidance for detailed information. 

 

Advance Information for Ofqual-accredited GCSEs: November 2022 

 

Advance Information is one part of a package of measures, to support students whose learning has been impacted by the Coronavirus pandemic and is intended to help guide and prioritise revision.  

 
You can find relevant guidance from JCQ and Ofqual, including FAQs for students and exam centres, and the student guide on the JCQ Advance Information landing page. These documents are unchanged from Summer 2022 series.

Please note:

  • For GCSE mathematics the same formulae sheets will be provided as for summer 2022 exams
  • For GCSE English Language, teachers do not need to submit a sample of audio-visual recordings of Spoken Language endorsements.  
 

Updated guidance for the special consideration process

 

The JCQ guide to the special consideration process, was updated on 24 June 2022. Please review sections 5 and 7 of the updated guidance for more information. 

 

Calculated grades for students who miss exams

 

We published this guide to provide FAQs for how qualifications will be graded when exams are missed for acceptable reasons. 

 

You will find answers to the following questions, in the full guide on our website:
